Send Emilee to Volunteer for Rescued Animals in Costa Rica
My Travel Story
The rescue centre I will be working at has been set up to provide a sanctuary for animals that have either been rescued from captivity or found injured. I will be working hands on with these incredible animals and helping to improve their lives. Once at the centre they are given superb care and attention in an effort to rebuild their fragile lives, and where possible are re-introduced back into the wild where they belong. Not only is this an exciting opportunity for personal development but it is also a vital cause to the wonderful creatures on the recieving end. Without the assistance of volunteers many of these animals would not survive their circumstances or injuries which can be caused by both natural distaster, deforestation and unfortunately hunters.
My path to becoming and Veterinary Nurse and then progressing on to become a qualified Vet is just beginning and I feel this project will give me a kick start of inspiration that will help me to strive in my learning.
This is sounding regretably similar to a cover letter for a job application now.
The money I wish to raise will go straight toward the cost of my project. Not only will your donations help me but a large percentage actually goes toward keeping the Sanctuary I'm visiting running. In addition, a fraction will be used for food and medical supplies for the animals in their care.
I can't begin to explain how excited I am for this or how much even the smallest contribution would be hugely appreciated. Forever grateful. x

ARTWORK SALE!
SALE!
I'm selling prints of my original drawings to raise money for my volunteering project! Message me privately to place your order smile emoticon
The bird (a blue crowned motmot) is native to Costa Rica, where I'll be venturing to, so I thought it'd be fitting to paint one. Overall it took around 8 hours! Mixture of watercolour, dotwork with fineliner, colour pencils and silver pen. Ideally he'll be A4 at £30 or the nearest offer. (we can negotiate, I don't bite)
The bug (a Cicada) is also native to Costa Rica! He took me about 5 hours all in all. It may only be A5 but being made almost entirely of tiny dots he's very detailed! Ideally he'd be £25 but again, just let me know and I'll see what I can do for you money-wise.
If you'd rather these were bigger or smaller they're fully flexible!
Thanks for looking and thanks to everyone who has already contributed! YOU'RE ENTITLED TO ONE OF THESE FOR FREE, TAKE YOUR PICK!
