My Travel Story

Ola! Creating coaches Brazil is a project I have started to develop Brazilian teens and young adults as coaches and community leaders. I will be travelling to Brazil at the end of August to work with locals in Rio de Janeiro to develop coach training.

Two years ago I had the opportunity to participate in a sport for development project in Nairobi, Kenya. Through this project we created a curriculum to train new coaches in the community. These new coaches have become community leaders and have changed the way children in the community view sport.

We have all had great coaches that have helped us get to where we are today. The way we train on our own and as part of a team says much about how we approach other areas of life. My vision is to create excellent coaches that can build strong communities and inspire young Brazilians to reach their potential in sport and in life. 

By working to develop local coaches I hope to make a more sustainable change than I would if I were to simply go coach sports in Brazil. Once in Brazil, I will update my travel blog each day in Brazil and post photos regularly. Thank you in advance for your support of my campaign.

  • Ready To Go!

    I'm off officially off to Rio de Janiero in 72 hours. I have

  • One Week To Go!
