An international summer internship will automatically distinguish me from other university students competing with me in the job market. Only a small percentage of students study abroad – and even fewer intern abroad - so participation in an internship overseas can give me the professional advantage I need to succeed by giving me in demand global skills. SK Pacific Internships are high-quality placements in my field of study, not just simple tasks such as filing or shadowing more senior staff members. Just like a corporation, I need a strong brand and personal story that tells people who I am and why they would benefit from my association with them. This is particularly true from a professional perspective. Before I can create and communicate my personal brand, I'll need to invest in self-discovery. Studying abroad naturally, lends itself to personal discovery by pushing me outside of my comfort zone.
