My Travel Story

I am majoring in film and media studies at UCSB and I will be studying abroad through the EAP program at our achool. I am excited to embark on my adventure in Mexico for the full academic year of 2018-2019. While abroad I will be studying at the top Latin American University- National Autonomous University of Mexico (a.k.a. UNAM). Here I will study cinematography and learn more about the workings of Mexican cinema. I intend to immerse myself in order to learn more about the culture, my culture. My family is from Jalisco, Mexico and I have always loved visiting. Being able to stay in Mexico for a year, (even if not in my region), is going to be an amazing experience that I have been wanting to have. Everything I learn while abroad I will bring back with me. And in the future I hope to, in someway, work with the Mexican film industy.
