Hi everyone! My name is Chloe Medina. I am a student at the University of New Mexico's College of Nursing. I have been presented with an oppurtunity to travel abroad to India to complete a clinical rotation in Population/Community Health. For as long as I can remember I have been dedicated to helping others. I see my career pathway not as a choice, but more of a destiny! I have decided to take my shot at this oppurtunity for many reasons. Some being my drive to help others, my willingness to learn, and my passion for improving lives. I plan on using this oppurtunity to become more culturally competent and to provide more culturally competent care when interacting with my patients. This trip will include visiting challenging clinical sites. I will be able to interact with the LGBTQ community in India, street children, the homeless population, adolescent rehabilitation patients and much more! I believe an experience like this will help me form my professional identity and push me to become the nurse I was meant to be. As of right now I am trying to raise money for my airfare. Any donation, big or small is greatly appreciated, more than you'll ever know!
