My Travel Story

After graduating in May, with a degree in international affairs and environmental studies, I knew that traveling abroad was what my next step needed to be. I will be spending 10 weeks traveling around Thailand, Indonesia, and Malaysia. In Malaysia, I will be working with an organization that focuses on low impact, sustainable tourism. The organization lives completely off the land, sustaining themselves through making use of the natural resources, and farming. Here I will learn about the local Malay people, as well as permaculture practices I can use in the future. 

In Indonesia, I will be working with sea turtle hatchlings once again. By working with turtles again, I can add to the knowledge I have already gained while learning a new language, and getting to know a new community!

My journey to Southeast Asia, will give me experience in work that I hope to continue to do in the years to come. This is one step in my journey towards saving the environment for future generations!!
