My Travel Story

Traveling, studying, and serving abroad are experiences pivotal to a purposeful and impactful future. My past service in Cambodia opened me up to the power of interacting and collaborating with communities and cultures other than your own. Since that time, I have only wanted to see and do more. Sailing to 11 countries around the world will allow me to interact with countless cultures to exchange ideas about our world. At each location, I hope to be given the opportunity to serve and learn, both of which are things that will add to my education limitlessly. I am passionate about this opportunity because I think that trips like these are really what come together to change the perspective of the youth of the world and, ultimately, the future of our planet.
With Semester at Sea, I would have the opportunity to travel to 11 countries and 13 cities during a semester-long voyage. Aboard the ship, I'd take a full course load and truly become a student of the world, while also pursuing leadership and service roles, such as work-study and service learning. This trip is such a dream, and I really hope that you can help me make it a reality!
