My Travel Story

I’m so glad you decided to check out my campaign and support my adventure to New Zealand. I’m entering my last semester in college and an important component of my degree is a study abroad experience. Interdisciplinary research, cultural immersion and my first solo experience abroad come together to put all my hard work and personal development to the test in this intense study abroad program.  Those of you who know me well are familiar with my passion for helping others and my time at ASU has prepared me to do just that. As an aid worker and beyond, I hope there are many years of international travel ahead of me but this experience in New Zealand is a meaningful step and my first hands-on experience with the intersections of health and culture. I will take my research and 6 credits of course work from New Zealand into my final semester at ASU and graduate with my Bachelor’s degree in Global Health. With so many opportunities ahead, my journey is in no way finished but completing this study abroad program and my Bachelor’s degree will be a life changing accomplishment.

As you can imagine, I am in overdrive finishing this semester and working as much as possible but I need your help to fund my study abroad program and make this dream a reality. The total cost for my trip is around $8,000. My current and future savings amount to just half of that, which I have deducted from my Program Fee posted on this page, so my goal is to fundraise $4,100. Airfare has been donated by my biggest and most dedicated fan. (Love you Mom!) If you are able to support my campaign, a contribution of any amount will help me get closer to my goal. I can’t wait to get my feet on the ground in New Zealand and I look forward to updating you all on this incredible adventure. Thank you for visiting my page and for all of your support!
