My Travel Story

My name is Leah and I'm currently a 9th grade honors student at Southern Regional High School in Manahawkin, NJ.  I was recently invited to tour southern Europe with the group “American Music Abroad” because I play the baritone in my school band and I sing in my school choir. The trip is in July of 2017 and it is for three weeks. During those three weeks I will tour with approximately 150 other students from all over the east coast. We will perform concerts and tour all over Northern Italy, Croatia, Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland, and Germany. This will be an amazing musical and cultural opportunity for me, one that I will probably never get again. Unfortunately the entire cost of the trip is too much for myself and my parents to afford. I will work hard to fundraise locally and I will also use the money I saved up from my summer job, but it won’t be enough to cover all the costs. I would truly appreciate help with expenses like applying for a passport, the trip cost itself, spending money, and other incidentals. I know I'm asking for a lot but any help you could give me would be wonderful and so appreciated! Whatever I don't raise through this outlet, I'm hoping to acquire through other means. Please help me realize my dream. I love music and travelling so I can’t think of a better way to express my love of the arts. I cannot wait to experience this trip of a lifetime and thank you from the bottom of my heart for considering my request.
