Hello friends and family! I am Jackie Alba, your aspiring veterinarian. I am currently a senior student at the University of Houston, graduating May 2018! As graduation approaches I am striving to continue to keep myself involved in animal and veterinary activities. My goal is to ensure that I have a great range of experience to be considered a qualified applicant when applying to the highly competitive veterinary program at the Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. 

I am excited to be apart of a trip to Chinsta, South Africa with the Safari4UVet program. I have been blessed to be accepted into this program that will allow me to experience 2 weeks in South Africa shadowing veterinarians and working with a range of wildlife that I could only dream of interacting with before this opportunity. 

As great as this opportunity is, it comes with costs that a fourth year college student simply cannot fulfill on her own. These costs of about $3,000 will mostly take care of the standard program fee and flight. Any donation to help reach this cost is sincerly appreciated.
