My Travel Story

My name is Riya, and I am a final-year civil engineering student who has been job hunting for months with no success yet. Being unemployed has made things financially difficult, but I’m still trying to stay hopeful and not give up on myself.

Paris has been on my bucket list for years, not just as a destination but as a dream connected to my passions. I have always been very interested in architecture, the way buildings carry stories, emotions, culture, and history in every detail. As someone studying civil engineering, seeing Paris in person would be more than a trip. It would be a chance to learn, observe, and find inspiration for the kind of structures I want to build in the future. Experiencing the Eiffel Tower, historic bridges, and old architectural streets with my own eyes could motivate me in ways books and screens never could.

I am an introvert, and I struggle socially. Asking for help, speaking up, and stepping out of my comfort zone have always been difficult for me. Even making this campaign is a huge step forward. I am trying to grow, challenge myself, and stop letting fear stop me from living.

There is also urgency. My visa expires in 5 months and this is my only chance to travel before that happens. If I don’t go now, I may never get this opportunity again.

This will be a very budget-friendly trip:
• Budget airline with only a backpack
• Shared accommodation
• Simple meals and public transport
• No luxury, just learning, exploring and experiencing

I am not asking for much. Even a small donation can help me get closer to this dream. Your support would help me not only visit Paris, but gain confidence, inspiration, and guidance for my future career in the field I love.
