My Travel Story

Hello my name is Simão and i am 15 year old portuguese student.
 Already from a young age i started to love english and the American culture from seeing shows like The simpsons by the age of 7 and being able to speak it with fluency already by the age of 10 and from being a really big fan of nhl and nba (go bruins and celtics) and being a complete addict to cinema and theather (and would love to have a chance to follow it) andwith the years passing my interest in it just kept getting bigger and bigger to the point that i decided i want to go there and i want to experince high school even if it just for a semester there would be nothing that could make me happier and more excited then that.

Even though my parents fully support me they also say its a big decision since its really far from my home country and i will be away for some time but even like that there is nothing i want to do more so i started searching for exchange programs avaliable here in portugal and that research just kind of crushed my dreams in a way i found out that the minimum money to do something like that is 8000 dollars i talked to my parents and there is no way i will ever be able to get that kind of money in 2 years even with a summer job and selling my computer and this why i am here this next 2 years will be my only chance i get of fulfilling this dream of being in an actual highschool joining a basketball team a drama club prom so many things that i really want to do and i cant do it without everyones help and this can also open so many doors in the future for me since i would love to stay and do college here aswell and maybe even find work and live here.
