My Travel Story

Our family has gone through many difficult struggles over the past couple years. We have had our ups and downs, but we always come through whatever we face, as a family, as a team. We have come to the point in our lives, where we have realized what is important to us, what means the most to us, and what we want for our future. We have seen the world that we live in, for what it has become, for what lies ahead of us, and for our children. We want better than what we face. So, we want to do our part, to make a better life for our family and for every other family out there. We are remodeling our RV, which is a 1984 Allegro P-30 Class A Motorhome, the same one I took family trips in as a kid. We are remodeling the RV, repurposing furniture, changing to "greener" systems where possible, and we are going to drive across the USA, raising awareness with our "Green RV", which will be a cleaner-burning fuel, solar powered, recycled/reusable, better options added, family travel vessel. We are hoping to get sponsors and donations, so we can add every option available and be able to show people how they work & why these options are important. We want to add a biodiesel fuel system, solar panels, rechargable batteries, and any other options that are better for our environment. We have to worry about the future, we have to make sure that we share our information with others, because education is so important in bringing light to an issue that can be solved and remedied, if enough people care to make a difference. We plan to blog/vlog our travels and make stops along the route to do presentations to help spread the word. We have already started our renovations and we are planning to get on the road soon. We have used all of our own finances up to this point. We will do this trip without any donations, because it is that important to us, but any assistance that others can give us would be awesome. We are happy to accept any form of donations, including someone to help us set up presentations to do along our travels, where we can show new products available for improving fuel systems and power sources. We would love to have some samples to show in person, other than just what we have used and what is on our RV. We hope to show others how and what to use to make these vehicles better on the environment, without having to sacrifice any efficiency or convenience. We would like to find someone to help us get parts and services, which we are compiling a list of for reference, and it would be great to have some discounts and specials to offer customers, as well as some handouts to provide them with names and numbers of where to get these items. We want to be the one stop shop, if you will, for all of the info they need on converting an RV into a greener version of itself. It is possible and important, so we want to help. What do we get out of all this? Well, I'm a nurse and my husband is a heaavy equipment operator. We will get time off to be with our family, as we travel across the US, helping to lessen the damage to the environment done by not only ourselves, but also by any of the families that we hope to encourage to change their ways. We hope that if all goes well on our trip of the US, we will venture to Canada. We even hope to further our reach in the future, maybe even makeover a few more RV's along the way.
