My Travel Story

Hello friends and family! I am taking a month-long trip to India and Sri Lanka in the Fall of 2017. Whilst in each location, I will be completing my final semester at Purdue University doing an independent study. 
This opportunity is one that few in my field of study are lucky to take part in. I will be gaining much needed experience with a different culture, in mental health facilities, and teaching in a new language. Each of these skills will help me build a very unique graduate school application. 
SLV is the only program I've heard of which targets students in the Psychology field. Most students are undergraduates or are hoping to enter graduate school. The amount of people they help, either those who are entering the program or those who are reeping the benefits of our placement, is absolutely astonishing. 
As most of you know, I truly love to travel and I am constantly throwing myself headfirst into new challenges. This will be my first experience leaving the country on my own, which will be a huge challenge for me and also a huge goal to check off my bucket list. On top of this, those of you who know me personally will know that psychology is truly my passion. Having the opportunity to travel to a new place whilst furthering my education is genuinely a dream come true. Any donations will be met with complete and utter gratitude.
