My goal is to support bioluminescent mushroom research and conservation on the Betary Reserve and in Brazil. With a total of 7 new species found recently on the Betary Reserve they have the highest concentration of bioluminescent
mushrooms in the world. Mushrooms play a huge ecological role in any healthy environment and I'm hoping to further advance studies in this field which has only within the past thirty years began to develop. I find this especially important as Brazil, the country with the greatest amount of biodiverstity, faces threats of continued deforestation and global warming looms for our planet and future.
