My Travel Story

Growing up in a big city like Hong Kong, we were told to follow a path of: get into the best uni, earn lots of money, buy an apartment and spend whole life paying off the loan. Gap year is never a reality for Hong Kong people. After graduation, I spent 1.5 years working in the bank as what "the path" told me to. After years of working repetitively not knowing what I'm trying to acheive, I made a brave act of quitting my job and go on a travel.

Travel inspires me a lot. As I see new places and meet new people, I discover the possibility of life. Then I realized what I was told since I was small (that we should follow a certain path) is not the only option of life. 100 people should have 100 different kinds of life. 

I like going to places that people called them "undeveloped", "dirty", or "dangerous". I found that people from less-developed places have less material life but live so much happier than people growing up in big cities fighting for just money.

The origin od a kind of meditation, Vippasana, originates from India, and it's also one of the things that attracts me. Everyday we spend our lives looking for goods from the outside and we seldom spend time for ourselves. By ourselves, I mean our souls and deep within. I would take a meditation course to discover the Art of Living. And hopefully, after this trip, I find more possibilities in life and not just to follow the path.
