Hi,

My name is Jeena and I am currently a second year psychology student at the University of Leicester. I have always had a particular interest within the mental health field of psychology, and in the future, I would like to become a clinical psychologist and help those that are suffering with mental illness.

In order for me to achieve my goal, I have decided to take on the opportunity of travelling to Bali, Indonesia on a 4-week mental health placement organised by SLV Global, taking place in the summer of 2017.

As part of my voluntary placement, I will be living with a local Balinese family and working in a psychiatric facility, as well as working with individuals with special needs, and teaching English to young adults and children.

I know that this placement will be invaluable to me, as not only is this a great opportunity to experience what it is like working in the mental health sector with individuals suffering from mental health issues, but it also helps me gain experience of working in a totally different culture too.

I am aiming to raise at least £600-£700 myself which will help cover the cost of travel to Bali and would really appreciate your support to help me raise money to allow me to travel to Bali, so that I can help make a difference to other people’s lives there.

Thank you :)
