New York Times Summer Academy - Inside the UN
I Come from Israel: a small country that is often badly portrait in both the international media and in the United Nations. Nevertheless, I recognize and admire the monumental affect those institutions have on our lives. Human Rights and Whistle blowers, a public outcry, "Breaking news", or a war criminal rotting in prison, just names it! They are all possible by Journalism, law and intentional cooperation. Learning on all of these will be a dream coming true, they are very the fabric from which our society is woven! Of course, I would also have a great story to tell. Acquiring writing techniques, research methods and being around journalists will allow me to improve in writing and to deliver my message better than ever before. Further, I would like to join the international relations bureau during my military service (a mandatory 3 year period in Israel). There, I hope to use the skills I learned to create and maintain international cooperation.
