My Travel Story

In studying abroad this summer I look forward to interacting with people of different cultures and gaining some hands-on knowledge about the world. Travelling across seas and planting my feet on foreign terrain is an experience I will remember for a lifetime. I plan on applying lessons learned from my study abroad experience to my future coursework. 

While abroad, I plan on learning of ways I can get involved in helping those in developing countries. I am aware of the privilege I have as an American in the United States and I want to be able to step outside of my comfort zone by getting a glimpse of the way foreigners live their lives. My plans consist of gaining contacts so upon my return home I can continue to be involved with foreign relief efforts.
