My Travel Story

by: Silvia Susach Start Date: Dec 6, 2017 - End Date: Feb 8, 2018
Hi everyone!

My name's Silvia and I'm from Barcelona, Spain. I'm a passionate, curious soul who absolutely adores animals. I've always been afraid to travel by myself. But this time, I decided not to give into my fears and to join an amazing Volunteering Program in Thailand to help Elephants live a happy life. I'm from Barcelona, so that's kind of far from me, which makes me scared, but not too much. The kind of fear that I can deal with ;)

I am going to volunteer at the Elephant Nature Park, a rehabilitation and rescue center in Thailand. They do a FANTASTIC job by rescuing elephants that have been exploited and used for the tourism industry. The rescued elephants live a happy, free life and they are taken care of by volunteers (aka ME!).

In February I'll have some weeks free. I wouldn't like to miss this chance, I feel that this is a calling I cannot ignore. Not only for animal welfare but also for my own self development and to plant a small seed for a better world and a more responsible tourism. I need your help to finance my ticket, and to pay the volunteer fee, which will contribute to the elephant's welfare and to local Thai economy :-)

Your help will be very much appreciated. THANK YOU!

Peace & Love,

Silvia
