My name is Karen Wong. I am currently at Teacher College(Majoring in Primary/Junior) in University of Ottawa . I have always love teaching and working with children. No matter what country they are from, they are part of our future generation and I hope to guide and give them to the tools they need to create and sustain a green and peaceful world.

Although our world is developing rapidly with technologies, I feel there is a lack of education in patience, compassion and self-love. As a future teacher, I hope to not only teach students basic skills to prepare them for the real world but also to teach them ways to reconnect to themselves and to resolve internal conflict within themselves.

I am hoping to teach in a Buddhist Monastery located in Nepal next year(2018) between April and May for 4 weeks. I believe that teaching the children and monks in Nepal will provide me with more insight and learning experience to be a better and understanding teacher. I hope to share my experience at the monastery by educating not only students but also other teachers, helping them to grow internally and externally.

Your donations will help me tremendously. Any donations will be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.
