Hi ! my name is Luis Mateo, Im a Honduran photographer by passion, by love, by... just to be by... Im rissing funds for the biggest challenge ever made in my country.

Honduras is a small country located in Central America, his image has been severely damaged by an unfair violence campaing.

Saddly, like every country in the world we suffer from violence, burglary, thieves, robery, but the violence  we experience belongs to a drug dealing fighting territory.

Its been proved that the 90% of that violence victims are  related to those who practice that activity.

This unfair campaing has make a huge impact in our society, hondurans had lost the faith, patriotism, love and hope in the country, adding a lack of roll models that inspires or motivates our people, we are sinking without any sings of help.

Basic principles, pride, values, respect and patriotism are being forgotten, is my dream to reestore in my country those principles, by making a reconquer journey carrying this values and show to my people and the rest of the world that Honduras is a diferent nation.

The porpouse cant be done without your help, I dont want to ask for goverment aid because I dont want to give the idea that this is a paid campaing and lost the main essence of reestoring dignity.

I have two kids, 9-12 years old, is my desire to give them a good example, and leaving them and to my people a good legacy of pride, love and hope for Honduras.

Many investors and travelers had no interest in visit us due this campaing, stealing the chance to develop new sources of jobs that provides food, health and education for our childrens.

Reconquer is a journey trough South America first, in order of many facts, languaje, cultures, area, problems, and etnic maters, besides many travelers and investors from there have shown some interest in our products and tourist destinations.

They avoid us because this campaing, in some big efforts I have made for try to convince a couple of bazilian backpackers that are traveling arround the world, that give us a chance to know us, they experience for themselves the real Honduras.

Many people, told them not to come, even some hondurans did that, but when they came and make several postages in their web site, more than 10k coments where recieved asking for tips of Honduras.

I believe with your help this reconquer journey that no one else here had try before, will bring a different perspective for many people in Honduras and the rest of the world, giving the chance to generate expectations and motivate others hondurans to overcome this adventure.

Reestoring faith, hope, pride, image, posibilities, a different point of view trough your effort and my compromise to do my best as a man, a father, a citizen of this only world we have, together can build a big change of a future for more than 8 million of hondurans. 

As father leaving my kids in a 9 month journey facing a lot of challenges, will be the most challenging task ever.

But I am convinced that giving back to Honduras the honor that deserves, to my sons and fellow citizens the heritage of faith in humanity, country and believe in themselves worth it.

Will be a mission acomplished for each and everyone that will be able to donate in #reconquistando.

How this journey will bring back all those principles?

If you realize one morning that one simple honduran photographer woke up, ask for funds to people from arround the world, (and he got them !!!)  Took his camera, backpack, a whole lot of Honduran flags, passport and hit the road with a dream of reconquer a half continent planting  flags  in each south american country he visit with the message of reconquering our values and principles will work, so....
