My Travel Story

I studied classical vocal music in my undergrad with hopes of getting accepted to grad school, and when I didn't I began to look at other options to make myself more qualified and versed in classical music. I want to become a professor of music as my career.
Germany is the heart and soul of classical music, so what better place to go. I've been taking German classes, since graduation because my school did not offer them when I was there.
The class is entitled "Music, Philosophy, and German National Identity" and it looks at how the asthetics of music and philosophy shaped the culture and political climate. I feel that understanding how these elements react from each other can be applied to understanding other countries as well.
We will be going during the winter season. This trip is imporant to me.
I currently work as a preschool teacher, and I make barely enough to get by, let alone save up tons of extra money for my trip.
