GET ANTHONY TO AUSTRALIA!
Growing up in small town Sault Ste. Maire Ontario, not many people I knew had ever really left our hometown. It is typical for most people from the Sault to continue to live and work there and follow in their family's footsteps. Get a good job, buy a house, get married, family... you know the story.
At age 22 I realized this wasn't what I wanted . I needed more to my life. I needed to be fulfilled. I decided to move to South Korea to teach ESL for 1 year. Almost 3 years later I was still there. To make a long story short, I went backpacking in SEA and western Europe to return back to Sault Ste. Marie unfulfilled.
But why? 9 months in my home town, I was able to reconnect with family and friends who I hadn't seen in almost 3 years. I did a lot of learning back home, but knew there was more for me.
I decided I would do a 1 year layover back in Korea teaching ESL only to be closer to Australia (my end destination) and do some travelling in between.
This year, back in Korea, I am trying to give back to the travel community and those who have never really tried. I started vlogging weekly to give others a quick glimse into my life to hopefully inspire them to travel too.
What has happened with my vlogging is that I have attracted an older crowd of people who never really took the risk or jump to travel when they were younger and now want to live vicuriously through me. It makes me so proud and honored to be able to show some of these people different parts of the world as a mini "tv series" on Youtube.
My goal has and will always be to inspire those who may be afraid or nervous of what their parents will think, to GO TRAVEL and learn!
Throughout my time in South Korea, I am volunteering with a travel group to hear more stories from fellow travellers and hope to inspire them to do more each day.
I am hoping to do more volunteering as I travel South East Asia before eventually moving to Australia.
I ask, before you donate, watch my videos, tell me what you like, what you don't like. What you would like to see. If, and only if I can provide you with more value than money, please donate to support my travels!
