Hi, my name is Fabian, I'm 20 years old and I'm from Venezuela

In case you do not know my country is going through a very hard time, fighting for democracy and freedom, protests, confrontations and fights is the day to day reality of my country. The Resistance is a group of young people who fight the dictatorship (Government, army, police) in the streets of Venezuela, I was part of it. On May 11, 2017, at about 4 pm I was shot in the eye by a tear-drop bomb causing me to lose great capacity in my sight. My struggle as "Resistance" ended here, because to strive physically, simply to run, can mean the loss of my sight

I am currently much better, week after week my eyesight improve considerably but are estimated 6 months of recovery

An average salary in my country is 20USD/month that you do not even get to buy food, and a ticket to another country as many of you know can easily spend 500USD but I have the desperation that I will find the future, I need to migrate to look for new opportunities and grow, soon there will be a border closure as in Cuba and we will not be able to leave Venezuela

Thank you for listening, I hope freedom for my country will come soon
