My Travel Story

We are a local talented group with a big dream and we are sure that you or your company could help us make it happen.

Our group is 6 ordinary people with natural talents for filming. Last year for the first time we decided to expose our talents and participated in the 4th edition of the Aruba Short Film Festival, resulting in winning the “Best Short Film” and “Best People Choice”.   Our short film named “Like & Share” is a strong and yet present-day message about ( Bullying ) to our new generation.

To our surprise the Langston Hughes African American Film Festival which is a major season program of LANGSTON organization, who hosts provocative films, has extended an invitation to our team to be part of their official selection festival on April 19-22, 2018. Our film “Like & Share” has been selected to participate at their annual Festival. The screening of our film will be held on 21st of April 2018.

In the heart of Seattle, the festival features hands-on workshops, discussions, and in-depth chats with filmmakers, industry professionals and local community leaders, housed at the historic Langston Hughes Performing Arts Institute.

We are extremely excited as it is the first time that a short film produced in Aruba is nominated to participate in an event of this magnitude.

We are hoping that our dream might be of  interest to you as an opportunity to support local talent in our community.

It’s a long trip and our calculations of expenses for 6 people is around USD 8,000 to cover air-fare, lodging, etc. ( Any amount will help us ) We can only achieve this dream with the help of outside funding. Please find it in your heart to consider helping us.
