“Life was given to us a thousand years ago, what we have done to it?” Space conquest, moon exploration, advanced electronic devices, and baneful weapons. Why is it then, that more than 6000 years of progress on, we have not still found a cure for cancer or a cure-all for every ailment. Medicine proffers raveled questions, questions our way of thinking, and challenges the capability of helping others.

Learning how the body works; kinky coaction of hormones, development of an individual from a single cell; and then being able to practice this knowledge is the reason why I want to pursue medicine as a career. Besides, studying “Survival of the Sickest” by Dr. Moalem has made me aware that how certain diseases such as diabetes and sickle-cell anemia appeared in our ancestors to help them survive in harsh conditions.

Managing a neurodegenerative situation or angina, a doctor’s job is unique, versatile, challenging and demanding because of advancements in the medical field. Several experiences have augmented my regard for this meticulous pursuit and to have a big impact on my community. Writing assignments on the working of various organs imparted me a wonderful experience in planning and equanimity. Working in Physics labs taught me how to use logic and mathematical skills in real life problems and my days in chemistry labs led me to reconsider what I read, imparted the analytical skills and made me aware of the importance of perusing the scientific knowledge. I attended many medical talks and watched the medical lectures of Dr. Najeeb to gain medical knowledge. Work experience at Sundas Foundation, for the help of thalassemic patients and blood collection, added to my interest in the human liver and genetics. Every patient had his own challenges, especially how the hepatic problems are prevailing in our society. This teamwork and the cooperation with the doctors and nurses taught me how important are good communication skills, serenity, desire to take responsibility in the clinical environments. Contrarily, during a Neurology clinic, I realized the other side of being a medic. Many patients were diagnosed with the end-stage brain-tumor- the doctor cannot save everyone.

In order to pursue dreams of studying medicine in the coldest place of the world and make an impact in the world, I need some financial assistance. I want to make ailments soothing for every patient and work in the field of holistic medicine. I chose North-Eastern University Yakutsk and Siberian State University because they are situated in one of the coldest places in the world and this idea comes from the concept of Christian Eden. This is much too meaningful since I am the first one from the family and perhaps my village to avail such an opportunity. It is very meaningful to be able to fulfill the dreams associated with you see yourself where you have not even imagined.

As an escape from the academic routine, I play cricket and badminton. I captained the Reading Club of my department. This fortified my teamwork and leadership skills. In addition, I work with a local organization which struggles for spreading health and educational awareness in the nearby villages and this has added to the empathy and leniency needed to think promptly and work under difficult circumstances. I can express opinions on polemical topics such as euthanasia.

I have become more aware of the demands of the role of a medic. I have strengthened my work ambitions- to work in such challenging and provocative field, qualities the Cuban medics possess. I trust I possess integrity and commitment to succeed in medicine and contribute wholly to my varsity and my society.

I have been granted a tuition fee waiver by the Russian government. My family is unable to afford all the expenses and so am I. So I need your gratitude and monetary help for residency, textbooks, and early arrangements.
