SLV Global give an opportunity for Mental Health Placement as Volunteer abroad to Undergraduate and Graduate Students twice a year. This year, I and my colleagues are attending the placement in Bali for 4 weeks in September 2018. It will be one of our exciting opportunity to explore and flourish hand on experience. We shall be gaining as well as sharing the concepts, skills theories and therapies with the effectiveness for treatment suffering from Mental Health such as learning disabilities, challenging behavior, Autism, Brain Injury and so on. The position is mostly based on the Activities Co-ordinating and working with the Clinical Psychologist as an Honorary (Unpaid) Volunteer.

During my stay in Bali, I would be working as a Volunteer within the community for 4 weeks acknowledging the education I have received during my Undergraduate degree and experiences I have gained through my Volunteering and work placement within U.K. I'll also be working on other projects too, such as English for development and children's development, which entails working with children from disadvantaged backgrounds to learn and socialise in creative environments where language barrier exist. We perform art therapy, ways of communication and different interacting skills.

As U.K. residences are from different ethnic backgrounds, we get an opportunity to work with the different group of ethnicity globally. Currently, if we look at the current statistics of U.K. which is a developed country, 1 in 4 people are suffering from Mental Health. Bali is a place in Indonesia which is a developing country where people lacks the knowledge of Mental Health. In order to help them, SLV Global recruits Volunteer every year. However, SLV does not get funded from governmental bodies.
So, I would request an appeal to contribute some funds to help me raise the fund.

Thank you in advance for any donations towards my fundraising for this incredible cause for those in Bali.

Yours Sincerely
Shakila
