It has always been a passion of mine to help animals. I am a veterinary technician and I feel lucky to have a job that I love going to every day. I recently started researching different opportunities to volunteer abroad and was so excited to find a reservation in South Africa that specializes in the rehabilitation of orphaned African wildlife. I will live on the reserve for 3 weeks taking care of various animals. I will also have the chance to visit the famous Kruger National Park.

There is nothing more satisfying and gratifying then knowing you've saved another creatures life. I've bottle raised many sick kittens since they were only a couple days old. I have 8 cats of my own and have acquired them all from unfortunate circumstances. Some may call me a crazy cat lady but I worked really hard to save all my babies and I'm proud of that.

I plan to do this in January of 2018. I've started saving now but unfortunately, as much as I love my job, I don't have a lot of extra money. it means the world to me to be able to go to South Africa and I would be very thankful for any help I could get.
