My Travel Story

It's time. It's the perfect time. Lady can go without naps and Daisy still loves princesses. That's what we were told was the sweet spot in doing Disney.  Last year Daisy forewent a birthday party in favor of a family trip. We (the four of us) took a few weekend jaunts this year (the Poconos in August, Ocean City, MD in September, and Blue Rocks in October), but she wanted to see more of her extended family. That's really what she wanted, and flying on an airplane is something she also desires deeply to do (not that it's the required mode of transportation!)

She has been great this past year while we sort out how to face new challenges with Lady's ADHD diagnosis. They both have sacrificed a lot of free time to travel an hour 2x per week to see Lady's doctor. In spite of the fact that Lady has had some pretty rough times with her impulse control, I know she's trying. They both deserve this.

Tim has also always been a hard worker for us. I know he really felt like he missed out on quality time with his brothers last year during the Tampa trip for Frankie's birthday. (A boat is chartered to go out to where Frankie's eternal reef rests, and they fish together, just as he would want it.) It's also time we return to Tampa to visit. 

This year Daisy's birthday is on a Saturday (3/25), and it's the weekend before Spring Break, which is also the week before Frankie's birthday. The calendar is aligning for us to take a 10-day trip to Disney/Tampa (maybe even a stop in ATL to see the Hollingers :)  

Tim and I expect to fund this entirely - we're not sure how yet, but we both anticipate a good winter, business-wise. So, no family should ever feel obligated to contribute, but if you want to help in lieu of presents (Lady's birthday is coming up, Christmas, my 40th, Tim's birthday and then Daisy's birthday,) this is a great way to do it!!!   And, no amount is too little, and yet would mean so much!!!

    We got the Disney passes! It's getting real now :)

    4 3-day passes. They'll arrive by mail Friday and the girls will open them on Christmas. I can't wait!!!!
