Hi I'm Mena and for as long as I can remember it's been my dream to travel but that's what everyone says isn' it? So I'm not going to talk about that (and if anyone knows me they know its ALL I ever talk about s it might be a feat) instead I'm going to talk about the only thing that I am as pasiionate about as traveling, architecture and design. I go to Ryerson for architecture and I truly love it (even at 2 am when i'm passing out in the studio). I spent my entire time in high school working really hard as it is a very competitive program (7000 apply 100 get in). I took advanced functions, physics, calculus and vectors as well as art and wood shop because in addition to straight As you need a portfolio. Then I got in, my parents make too much for me to get osap but they don't pay for me to go to school. It's not a sob story though because working 2 jobs while in school and living on my own has made me stronger and I manage okay. Anyway now I'm here and my favorite prof is running a class in italy this summer and it was really hard t get in they picked 18 people in all the programs across Canada and I'm one of them. I usually have to pass on opportunities to pursue things I love (traveling music even going out with friends) because of money but this opportunity is too amazing to pass up it counts towards my degree and I get real intern experience along with the classes. I promise if I become an architect I'll pay every penny forward to other campagnes but right now it's me who needs help, your help I hope. Thank you for taking the time to read all this.
