My Travel Story

Studying abroad will give me a deeper perspective on life outside of Canada and help me become more socially aware. Italy, my destination of choice, is very low tech and will allow me to escape social media and the addiction of electronics. Going on this exchange will allow me to volunteer overseas and help out local communities as well. I want to make a change in the town I am in, whether it's a social change or economic change, I will be willing to help with whatever I can get my hands on to. I am passionate about this because half of my family is from Italian descent and I've always loved their ways of life. Italy is beautiful place that has thousands of years of history attached to it, as well, and I am always looking to better my understanding of life before me. My love of fresh gourmet food will also help me out as well, and I can bring back recipes and my experiences to my family. This trip is a once in a lifetime trip that will change my life forever, in the best way possible.
