Travel to help Children
My Travel Story
I matriculated last year and have a special passion to work with children up to grade 8. I connect with children in a way few people can do.
It is instinct to spot a child in need, distress or one who needs a special smile or a helping hand. When parents need to leave their nervous, scared little children at Sunday School, I comfort and play with them. I aim to make every child feel special.
I started to help with children from a young age, I was one of the youngest Sunday school helpers and teachers since 2014. Some children wouldn’t stay at Sunday school if I wasn’t on duty. I worked at Holiday Bible Club when I was on school breaks during the winters. I also managed many School holiday craft classes at a local craft shop.
I want to broaden my experience with working with unprivileged children abroad and has been accepted in the Summer Camp Program for less privileged children, run by The Salvation Army in Tennessee USA and is due to fly over on 3 June 2018, pending financial funds to cover my visa, flights, assessment and confirmation fees and airport taxes through the agency.
The second part of gaining experience is to go back after the two months Summer camp to au pair with a family in Seattle, Washington. The family has three busy boys, one with special needs. I have a special passion to work with children who are different in the eyes of the world.
This is the first step to accomplish my dream and start a career in working with children and setting up my own “Summer Camp and Save Haven” back here at The North Coast.
I will really appreciate any help and assistance.
