My Travel Story

Hey everyone!

For those who don't already know, I am so thankful to say I will be continuing my education at the University of Essex in Colchester, England starting in September! When it comes to my finances I’ve been saving most of my money from my job to pay for my student visa, passport, plane ticket, and to make sure I’m financially stable until I am able to get a job while out there. Now, while I have a decent amount of money saved up, I’m in search of a bit of additional financial support.

While there I will be studying Childhood Studies which is a psychoanalytic and psychological field. I have always loved working with children and would love to be able to understand how they grow and develop during their critical years of their childhood. My dream is to work along side children with autism or to work at an elementary school as an Educational Psychologist. Once finished with obtaining my degree, I will be staying to take a placement year which will help with becoming more employable and give me real life experience with my degree.

Some of you maybe be wondering why I have chosen to go so far for college? I wanted to do something different than everyone else. I have always loved the idea of studying abroad and I certainly didn’t want to wait till my junior year of college to finally be able to do. I also had known I wanted to studying abroad over in England and to be able to spend my college years over there will be such an eye opening experience. I have also come to realize that there’s so much more to experience in life, and that you should take a hold of new and exciting challenges. A huge benefit of studying abroad is being able to become more globalized with people and society, globalization is the future of business, medicine, and education.

I would finally like to give all my thanks to everyone who has been helping me through all of this since the beginning. A what if scenario turned into a reality for me and I’ve never been so happy. This is going to be a huge transition in my life so I am so thankful to have the love and support from friends and family. To everyone who donates, thank you for helping me achieve my goal of helping others.
