Firstly, I want to truly thank you for visiting this page, your time and generosity is very much appreciated. Let me tell you a little bit about this program.

The program is called Leadership and the American Presidency, which is co-sponsored by The Ronald Reagan Foundation and The Fund for American Studies. The program has a highly selective application process, and I was competing internationally. I submitted essays and other required documents for the program, and was offered an interview. Four days after my interview, I was accepted.

The program is for the Spring 2017 semester, from January to May. I will be interning in Washington D.C. I will also be taking classes at George Mason University. My internship placement is yet to be decided. It will either be in a non-profit organization, congressional office or law firm (I’m hoping for congress! But I will keep you updated). By the end of it all, I will be receiving 12 college credits.

This is a huge turning point in my college career. I am a political science major, and I am on a Pre-Law track. After graduating from Loyola University, I plan on heading to law school. My long term goals include becoming an attorney and then shifting my career into government.

It’s disappointing knowing that you can achieve such rigorous accomplishments, but your own financial restraints prevent you from reaching your successes. This program knew of my situation, and offered me a need-based scholarship of $7,000; the program, however, costs a total of $12,000. Additionally, I must pay a $750 deposit fee before November 11th to secure my spot in the program. My family and I have been working strenuously to provide these fees, and while we can manage to provide a portion of the money, we will still need assistance paying off the remaining amount. Which is why I ask you: Please help sponsor this educational work trip.
