My Travel Story

Hi, my name is Evan and it was always a dream of mine to live and study in a foreign country. I am really excited that it will hopefully become reality soon. I would like to go to New Zealand because I think it is a beautiful country. I am fascinated by the marvelous landscapes, this would be a fantastic opportunity to pursue my passion in photography ,and take much more photos for my portfolio. I’ve researched all there is to know about New Zealand; I have been wanting to travel there for many years. I want to become more compassionate and expand my worldview and I believe this would be a great way to do so.



I was raised in Northern Maine, In the United States, with my one younger sibling. I live with my mother and brother. in a really small rural community where everyone knows everyone. I've alway wanted to experience new culture and be immersed in new traditions that will fascinate me. I have learned to appreciate the little things in life. I’ve always have taken an interest in Geography and it is my dream to travel the world. This is an opportunity I only imagined I could be part of. I'm glad that I came across ‘‘Studying Abroad’’ in my research. I'm a very open minded person and I'm up to exploring different ways of life. My education is extremely important to me. I hope to one day be able to go to a fantastic art college where I can study photography and design.


I've already completed 50% of the application process. I’ve also applied to multiple scholarships. As of now i’ve haven't yet been accepted to one. Although as of now there seems to be no full scholarships available for the type of program I’m interested in taking part in.With all expenses it is estimated to cost about $13,000 for a semester. Being able to do this would be a dream come true,  and I won’t be able to this alone.



I'm currently still saving all the money I earn, but it definitely won’t be enough to be part of this amazing once in a lifetime experience. This is where fundraising will hopefully help me get there.


If you decide to donate all funds will be put into a savings toward this and it will be greatly appreciated.



If I can achieve this goal I plan on leaving for Spring 2018 with CIEE
