This program and opportunity will give me a great advantage by having abroad cultural experience along with an understanding of how other societies go about. I believe people my age should definitely see studying abroad as a great advantage for future career opportunities. As a psychology major, I believe that it is important to explore outside our comfort zone and see other social groups to give us better ways of distinguishing how the human mind and society work together. I also believe that becoming part of a society that is different as the one we are used to, aids us to perceive all of the different types of situations other people go through in other countries. I chose Norway because while I was in high school, I had become friends with a foreign exchange student from Norway. We continue to be close and I have always found interesting her home country. So much that I have always wanted to go visit. I hope someday I can visit not only Norway, but other countries to broaden my experience.
