My Travel Story

by: Claire Rosas Start Date: Apr 4, 2018 - End Date: Aug 1, 2018
Hi Everyone!

This summer I have been given the amazing opportunity to intern abroad in Costa Rica for the Spanish immersion school, Tico Lingo. There, I will be keeping busy by working on their team as an in-house graphic designer. I'll be developing promotional materials, managing social media marketing, designing Spanish class materials, and more!

Tico Lingo is a fantastic educational company that gives students genuine Costa Rican experiences. Their commitment to their students and unique programs truly reflects a work environment that I would love to be a part of. Being of Hispanic ethnicy myself, this authenticity is inspiring and hopefully will lead me to learn more about my own culture.

As many of you may know, I have been pursuing a B.F.A in Graphic Design at DePaul University in Chicago, Illinois.  I am heavily involved with student organization, AIGA, and have been discovering my passion of design within the city for the past two years of my college career. I believe this opportunity of working with Tico Lingo would provide me with the professional experience I am looking for in the field of graphic design while gaining a unique international perspective.

If you would be willing to consider making a small donation to help me with my living accommodations and travel expenditures, I would be incredibly grateful!

Thank you!
Claire
