Send Kylie to save the loggerhead turtles!
Helping animals has always been a passion of mine, traveling is another. I am a 16 year old straight A student athlete. I have a part time job and do my best to help around the house with 4 siblings and 2 working parents. I have a great life and am forever greatful for all that my parents have done for our family. I have wanted to study abroad or join some kind of travel rescue/mission program for a few years now but because of our financial situation and my minimum wage job have not gotten the chance to. I know how life changing it can be if given the chance to go. When I saw this program I fell instantly in love with the idea. The summer camp brings students from all over the world to the beaches of Greece to help protect and raise the population numbers of the loggerhead sea turtles. To be traveling, helping an endangered species, and to experience a new culture would be a dream come true. This would also be a great opportunity for me as I am looking to pursue a wildlife career. I am taking the animal science pathway at school and feel this would be an amazing learning opportunity that will give me a taste of what my future could be like. A career I am looking into go for is a wildlife rehabilitator. I want to work with and help wild animals of all kinds after graduating both highschool and college and this program would give me a great inside look at what I would be doing. I will be working all summer long trying to earn enough money for the travel expenses for the program but if I can raise it my work money would go to spending money. To learn more about the program I am wanting to travel with click the link found above. Thank you to anyone and everyone who is generous enough to help me reach my goals. If I do get this trip funded I truly believe it will be a much needed life changing experience and I can not thank anyone enough for helping me make this dream a reality.
