As you can see in the picture above, I've graduated last september and with that I've earned the title Master of Science in Mental Health! I've decided to not yet jump in the thrilling and exciting working field of psychology, but instead use my education and experience to do something good abroad for people who need it the most.

In March 2018, the adventure will start! I'll be doing voluntary work during three months on the Graduate Mental Health Placement of SLV Global in Sri Lanka. SLV Global is an organisation that provides students and graduates with hands-on work experience abroad in the mental health sector. The fact that this organisation focuses on ethical and sustainable projects is something that really stood out to me about them.

In Sri Lanka, I will be working on several projects. I'll be working in a psychiatric hospital as a counselor, supporting children with special needs (e.g. autism), and teaching English in the community. My goal is to translate the psychological knowledge I’ve gained during my education into accesible, creative and mostly fun activities! In addition, I’m really looking forward to working in a completely new culture in a challenging environment.

In order to make this exciting adventure possible, I’d have to reach my goal of €2550. I would be very greatful if you are willing to contribute to this great initiative by donating a small (or big ;)) amount. By doing so, you will help me make this world a better place. I'll be forever in your debt!

Thank you!

Loucky
