I seriously cannot believe I'm 48, I don't even feel 40. But here I am appearing to have a mid-life crisis by volunteering to go to the other side of the world, to the Indonesian island of Sulawesi.

It is a very long way from Elgin, Scotland and sure to be a challenge that will push me to my limits and totally take me out of my comfort zone.

I have always been really passionate about Orangutans and other wild animals being able to survive in their own habitat. Unfortunately the number and diversity of illegal wildlife products is huge. Thousands of species are affected by this illegal wildlife trade, no-one knows quite how many. Orangutans, Malaysian sun bears and gibbons are just some of the most endangered mammals smuggled out of the country.

The Indonesia Wildlife Rescue Centre in Sulawesi endeavours to preserve these animals dignity by creating habitats where rescued animals may thrive.

Please help me to raise money that is vital to the development and continued success of this project by providing appropriate care, protection, treatment and security for animals in need of care and attention.

This incredible experience will be a challenge and I am very excited to be able to support and participate in such a fantastic project. For those that know me I will definitely not need my lipstick or big earrings - don't think the animals will notice!

Thank You x

Just 16 days left now to donate - I would love to give Tasikoki Wildlife Centre £500!
This is the distance I will be going from my home town of Elgin to help with the wild animals in Sulawesi.
    7,525 miles

Just 16 days left - Christmas is time for giving and making a difference to others less fortunate than ourselves - these animals do not have a voice, help save many threatened species from being extinct.
