Hello, Friends and Family! I am happy to announce that I will be a group leader for Thurston High School's spring break with Jeannie Evans! We will be chaperoning a group of high school students for a week in Belize in March 2018!
This trip will help me to enhance my leadership and communication skills. I am also looking forward to this trip because it will help me to better my education at the Univerity of Oregon within the Public Planning, Policy, and Management department. I must stay organized, prepared, and adaptable throughout the extent of this trip. Working with others to obtain these skills is also very important to me!
Jeannie Evans, the counselor at Thurston High School who I will be working under during this trip, chose Belize for the cultural diversity, and environmental uniqueness. We will be exploring from the day we get there until the day we leave! We will experience a raft ride under ancient caves, hiking in the rainforest among wildlife, working in the local schools, exploring Mayan ruins, and snorkeling with turtles, sharks, and stingrays. I am thrilled that I get to see a Central American country in such a personal way.
This trip means so much to me. I find travel as one of the most important things in life to experience. I want to see the world by exploring beautiful cultures and environments! I am blessed to have this opportunity and thankful for your support.
