My Travel Story

My main purpose for studying away in Costa Rica is to become fluent in Spanish. However, that's not my only purpose. I'll be volunteering my time teaching English to local Pre-School and Elementary students. I'll be suspending my vegetarian lifestyle while I'm abroad in order to be respectful of local culture as well as to more fully experience the native cuisine. I'm going to strive to be as fully immersed in Costa Rican culture as possible. Through this experience, I know I'll come home with a whole new perspective on life which I will carry with me in all of my future endeavors.
