My Family & Friends,

Thank you for joining me on this journey so far! My name is Alina, and I am currently a junior studying Non-Governmental Organizations and Social Change at USC.

This major has allowed me to continue growing my passion for education, service, and philanthropy. As a low-income first-generation minority student, education has always been a refuge for me. I strive to make sure likewise youth gain every opportunity they can to reach their goals.

USC has an Alternative Winter Break program in Sikar, India, where a select group of students will volunteer to help impoverished youth. We will be teaching English and math skills to help them get into private schools in India. This will not only offer them access to higher education, but it will also help uplift their families and communities.

The trip is December 16th-January 4th. It will cost about $2,800 total to fund airfare, lodging, food, and other trip expenses. Although I have applied for scholarships, any contribution, big or small, will certainly make a difference and be greatly appreciated.

If there are any questions or concerns, feel free to contact me! I have attached also attached a video from last year's volunteer trip that will give you a glimpse of the work I will be doing.

Again, thank you so much for your support!
