My Travel Story

In December of 2018 I will be traveling to Surin, Thailand to donate a portion of my time to the local Elephant Village through the Love Volunteers program. This essential project works directly with elephants that are at-risk of abuse and neglect. Working side by side with their owners to provide the care and funds necessary to adequetly care for them. Elephants here were previously used to help the loacls with farming processes now that utilizing them in this way the elephants have been made redundant. Love Volunteers has made an innovative initiative where they have promised to support the Mahouts and elephants to ensure their saftey and proper care. This unique once-in-a-lifetime opportunity will allow me to gain experience in animal welfare and know that I will truly be helping animals in need.
