My Travel Story

For my college graduation in December 2017, my parents offered me the adventure of a lifetime -- plane tickets to backpack Europe for 5 weeks. At first, I was hesitant. How could I leave a new job, my dog, my boyfriend, friends and family, my life, for 5 weeks, much less save enough to fund such an extensive trip? It took me awhile to realize that these were all just excuses because I was afraid of being alone in multiple foreign countries for so long, afraid of not having a source of income for a whole month, afraid of what I would miss while I was gone. But the travel junkie inside of me finally resurfaced and reminded me of all I could gain from a trip like this--especially before finally officially entering into the adult world. I live for experience, for learning and trying new things, for adventure and making new connections. I hope to gain all of these things from my 5-week trip to Europe, along with important insight about myself that will help develop me into a stronger, more successful person as I move forward in life!
