Short story:

My best friend, Linda is a budding writer who's working on her first novel. It's a fun-packed travel diary, but it's mostly fiction as she never really had the chance to explore the world. Day-by-day she's working two jobs to help her family and beside that she's volunteering locally. As you can imagine, she doesn't really get any free-time but she's trying her best to finish her beloved novel. As her 28th birthday is quickly approaching we were thinking what could we give her as gift? And then a thought came, we should surprise her with the journey from her story: Vienna-Berlin-Amsterdam. I already put together a bit more than 1/4 of the expenses (more on this in the expenses section) with the help of her friends and colleagues and now I'd like to turn to you, dear reader, could you, please help me make my best friend's dream come true?

Long story:

Once upon a time there was a girl who dreamed of becoming an artist one day. A writer to be exact. Our friend, Linda never wanted to be an astronaut, a popstar or anything else than a writer. Ever since the age of 8 she's been writing fairytales for kids and funny, enchanting short stories for adults. She won numerous awards for her stories and got great reviews as well. Unfortunately, a couple of years ago financial disaster struck her family, they almost lost their home and ever since that she has to work two jobs, 10-14 hours a day to help them stay on their feet.

But my friend is stubborn one, even though she works every day of the week she keeps her dream alive and recently she started to work on her first full-length novel. It's a travel story throughout Europe. When I asked her why did she choose this topic when she's never been abroad, she told me she likes to write about things and places she'd like to explore. And ever since that whenever she's talking about her novel I can't help but notice how her eyes light up when she's talking about these places she's writing of.

So, a couple of days ago I started to thinking what should I give Linda for her birthday. And then it hit me a couple of days ago that it would be a wonderful gift for this wonderful girl if she could really see those places. And here I am planning a 10-14 day trip for her in Vienna, Berlin and Amsterdam. I asked our friends, colleagues and basically everyone who knows her and so far I was able to raise 470 dollars for the trip. And now I'm asking for your help. Please, if you can, donate and help me make my friend's dream come true. But even if you can't donate, please, help me spread the word! Thank you everyone in advance!
