By going to India I can help train teachers to help make practices more world-wide and coherent across all contexts. Not only will I be able to volunteer my time and help but I will also learn invaluable aspects. Such as the culture of India, new learning techniques and strateiges, and professional development I can carry over into my work in the States.
Travelling and teaching are two of my biggest passions and through this trip I am able to do both. I get to travel to a part of the world I have yet to visit and experience (my past travelling has consisted of South America and Europe) and be able to take in the cultural aspects that I have only read about in books.
Following my work in India I am travelling around for a month to China, Australia, and New Zealand.
“Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness, and many of our people need it sorely on these accounts."
