My Travel Story

by: Debbie Hewitt Start Date: Jun 7, 2018 - End Date: Jul 24, 2018
Hello to whom may be reading this!

Thank you for coming across this page for my daughter, whether it be from pure luck or a share from my own personal social media pages. I will admit, on a wild whim, my daughter -22- bought a one-way ticket to London that leaves on July 23rd out of Oakland. Now, with the days starting to wind down and the reality of what she did is sinking in, I as her mother is getting more anxious for her departure while she is more than excited and nervous about taking on this new chapter in her life. My daughter has been looking and has even applied to a few jobs over in London and Paris, due to those being the first places she will be visit once she touches down overseas. She has acquired two 6 month consulting contracts with a doggy grooming facility that is wanting to expand into the daycare and boarding aspect - as well as - helping train a a young lady to take over her parents rescue and how to use social media to her advantage in helping them adopt dogs through the interweb. With the days counting down I have realized now and rememeber how often I have been told by own elders and those much wiser than me that now is the time to go and travel and I am so proud of my daughter going to do so. But as any mother I worry for my child and hope to send her off as best as I can that way I know she is taken care off if anything where to happen. I know she doesnt expect to be gone forever since she loves her family too much to be gone for too long, but with her being so ready to spread her wings and see how far she can go on her own I can't help to feel proud and anxious. So please if you have finished reading my little spiel, click share and pass this link around to your friends and family. My daughter is looking for help to cover both her travlers insurance - which include any medical bills, lost luggage, trip delay and etc... - and help with covering her metro/tourist card which would help her get around all of the countries through local railways with the added benefit of discounts to local museums. She has already paid for all her own airfare and lodging, so I just ask for the chance to be able to send my little girl with some extra funds to get every single little0 experience she can in all the cities she will be going too. I only ask for your help in exposure, but if you do donate I will forever be thankful. Plus she will be keeping a travel blog/vlog as she is over in Europe, this blog is for both her parents peace of mind and for those who would like to follow her travels around Europe. Once the blog is created I promise to post the link in the updates!

P.S. And to share a little personal note on my daughter one of her favourite quotes which helped stem her wild whim to travel is by a highly regarded French author who had won a Nobel Prize in Literature -Andre Gide- once said: “Man cannot discover new oceans unless he has the courage to lose sight of the shore.” Just a little insight and such a good quote to live by.
