I just want to say thank you for coming to my page. I am very humbled at the opportunity that has been presented to me. I've been accepted into ASU's Police and International Terrorism, and Etiology of Martyrdom course in July 2017. I will be learning counter-terrorism techniques, counter-intelligence, suicide bomber interdiction, and threat-risk analysis in Jerusalem, Israel. I will be fortunate to be learning from ASU's faculty and the Israeli Defense Force team. I will be traveling through Israel to learn how they keep our country safe against terrorist events. I will be able to bring these skills back home and make a difference here at the local, state, and maybe national level. Each of these courses will help my professional development as a paramedic, tactical paramedic, and a reserve deputy sheriff for Ada county.

"This program is located in Jerusalem, Israel. This 14-day program focuses on counter-terrorism, intelligence-gathering, suicide bomber interdiction, and jihadism. Students will visit facilities and protected environments throughout Israel to learn about the measures the Israelis have taken to deal with terror-related threats and risks. Students will also see how the Israelis have changed security practices and procedures as a result of lessons learned from past terror attacks and what they are doing to prevent future attacks.
This program includes intelligence briefings, on-site visits, and lecture presentations. Students will also experience a cultural component in journeying to one of the most important regions of the world – the Holy Land. Our delegation will tour the Old City of Jerusalem, visit holy sites such as the Western Wall and Church of the Holy Sepulcher as well as venture to the Masada and Dead Sea."

I am applying for scholarships and trying to find any means possible to attend. Only 25 candidates are selected per year. The tuition is steep, which is why I am asking for any help to make this dream a reality. Thank you for your time!
